Aside from the beach, Chaplin Oceanside Park is located a mere 300 yards away and houses a multitude of tennis courts, basketball courts, bike trails, baseball diamonds, and soccer fields, as well as a playground, dog park, and restrooms. Finally, when the day starts to draw to a close, why not top off the night by enjoying some of the finest waterfront shopping, dining, and entertainment** on the island at Shelter Cove Towne Center, just a short bike ride or drive down the road (1.5 miles). There is also a Whole Foods and huge Kroger grocery store about a mile from the house. **The town hosts a number of events and festivals throughout the year, including a firework display every Tuesday night during the summer that is best viewed from the Shelter Cove Community Park directly behind Shelter Cove Towne Center. ***Elevator and house are not ADA compliant. Elevator is considered a convenance use item only. The main use would be for things like luggage and groceries. Elevator use requires a $200 usage fee per stay if guest wants elevator access. Furthermore, elevator use is not guaranteed as a condition of the guest stay even if the fee as been paid. In the event the elevator is not available for use the fee will be returned to the guest and there will be no further consideration granted for lack of use.
